ordos45
I was rereading his biography. The author quotes him on the Lynch Film. "Halleck is a musician, poet, and a warrior. Well, all you really saw of him was the warrior side. David Lynch did shoot the book, but it just didn't get on the screen. It's a good film, but I suspect there's an even better film in all that David shot. I don't think David Lynch's work was seen in its best in Dune.""" are used to show what Pactriock Stewart said. I think he dissed the film he was in and its director.
quoudam72
You know alot of stuff that Lynch shot for Dune got edited from the final version of Lynch's movie. I think that is kinda what Patrick Stewart is saying not really dissing the movie and Lynch. If those scenes that were cut were put back into the movie like a Collector's edition of the movie it would make the movie even better. The whole thing with the running time in the theaterical release is what really what takes away from Lynch's movie.
Mahdi
The original cut was about 5 hours long. That cut was destroyed in a fire. Interesting note, in that cut, Liam Nessan (thats spelled wrong) played jamis.
