colors to units!

can some one tell me how do i re color units like texturing (nema fakei i tryed your tutorial site but i didnt understand :'() plz tell me some one

it is easy all that you need is a good image editor like adobe photoshop or mgi photosuite.

witch files i need to open??? iv got paintshop pro its good enouf if i need to open xbf files then how do i do it plz explain...

you don't need to open xbf files, extract all of the files from the 3DDATA0001 directory, then open up for infantry say =G_Infantry_256.tga, at first it will seem intimidating, but try changing the colors, it should become easier as you go.

but lets take as example the ordos sniper from KH2 he dont have colors of his own he has xbf of his own... what is that mean?

it is tough to explain, you can make individual infantry have seperate textures by changing the xbf, then changing the filename.

i attached it at one point, it is what i use though it is somewhat difficult to use. go to www.download.com and search for hex editor.

its a no frills, nice working Hex Editor, and is the best hex interpreter ive seen.

mm how do i color tanks i know about the high low and medium stuff but still how the ^&$& do i change the colors oh and about the infantry how do i know witch part belong to who? i see faces there lags here and i cant recognize witch belong ??? how do i color it easy and plzzzzzz tell me how to use paintshop pro for the right job ok? ::) i sure someone knows how to use it...

well, for changing the tank colors u need to edit the necessary texture, quite simply.

for discerning what is what with the textures u just need to guess or use trial and error

it is possible the sniper from KH2 is doin that... he uses all kinds of colors without the =G_inf or =O_inf... he only uses its xbf...

no he does use the o_infantry along with several other textures at once.
