Two Emperor rules.txt questions

1: I need to change the name of various units in the game, how do I do this?

2: I want to remove a couple of sub-houses, I need to know how I do that, I have seen in the Corrino mod that they used Ordos as sub-house.

Nope didn't understand a bit of what u said there about changing names. >:( what is string.txt?

I only have the art and rules files.

you can't really remove sub-houses. In Guild Wars they make the 3 Houses generic if that's what you mean. But to find the file, use duneex2 and extract E_Output_Text_Pickup.txt and Textstrings.txt from the STRINGS0001 file. Then open them up in wordpad, not notepad!

so it is really very complicated to change names, not like the other c&c games very you type name=Apocalypse

To change a units name, all you need to do is open the strings0001.rfh, extract the file text strings.txt or something to the like, to a folder inside emperordata called strings, so

emperordatastrings

open it in a text program, and find the unit you want, and change the name for it between the { and } symbols

Thanx for the answer. but I didn't understand that color thing, all those numbers. how do I set that in Adobe photoshop?

it is rgb, it stands for 255 red, 0 green, and 255 blue.
