Age of Wonders (2)

I was wondering does anyone else here play age of wonders 1 or 2? If so please post how good you think it is. I own both the original and part two and they're both great i think

I just bought it recently, personally I prefer the scenarios and the editor to the game itself. What's your favourite species, and why? Frostlings, Draconians, Dark Elves. Those are my preferences.

Humans, because i like knights, crossbowmen and stuff and i like their architecture

Elves: They're pretty cool. Good noble beings with cool units like the druid. and they have great bowmen

Actually I love all races, realy but humans are just my personal favorite followed by elves.

i looked at the box of that a few weeks ago because i saw Gob mention it before, and it didn't appeal to me very much because it said your goal was to make the best Wizard in the land and I think Wizards suck. I'd rather be a Paladin or a Demon or something more interesting than a boring-old Wizard. Maybe those games would be more popular (or guys like me would actually *Buy* them and hence play them) if they didn't focus on Wizards so much.

You can always try the demo if you aren't sure you'll like it. You aren't exactly trying to be the best wizard, if you've played the Hereos games its similar to that.

yeah, the wizard is just you but you can build armies with paladins, knights, skeletons, dreaded reapers, mammoth riders, etc.

Maybe I'll get it, but FA: War over Europe is coming out here in a week and I'll probably get addicted to that so I won't have much time to play AoW2 :).

I'm going through a phase of Dungeon Keeper at the moment.

whaha good 4 you, Dungeon Keeper kicks ass, even though i would've liked to be able to play as human too it is great as it is. Many options great atmosphere

Dungeon Keeper is great, I wish there was more multiplayer support for it though.

Just to clear up a thought I had, I mean Dungeon Keeper II, not the original. I don't even have the original so if you were talking about it I'm sorry.

well i don't own any of the dungeon keepers but i have played the original at my friends comp and it was pretty fun. part 2 however should even be better as far as i've seen/read

It'd great. No Dragons or Hell Hounds, but from what I hear it's far superior to the original.

hmmmm i'm not sure about that, better perhaps but not far better i think. The first one was revolutionary. I don't think that 2 was that much better. Just more options and better graphix
