TMA_1
Well you all know dune guys. This is weird though. In his other novels he talks about the same technology thats in Dune. Such as Heighliners, chairdogs, the galach language. Doesnt this strike anybody as odd? Also things like whipping star. It talks about a computer overlord controlling the universe. Could it be that some of his other novels have to do with the prebutlerian jihad days?By the way. Frank's other novels are much better than the Dune novels. Thats saying a lot. They are my favorite. Vanguard3000
Chairdogs are also mentioned in "The Tactful Saboteur", a short story by Mr. Herbert (in Eye). It takes place in ~6000AD.Overall, I just think he stuck with the ideas he liked. other than that, I don't think they're related.Oh, and I agree that his other works are great (Man of Two Worlds was really good) but I like Dune better.
