I use realistic settings with the editor. I maked the Hark assaults tanks a little faster, more range.  The infantry are almost equal to each other. I also maked the Contaminators uncrushable and faster/stronger. They are pretty good units that way.

I need instruction on how to make Rules.ini work for me.  There isn't any Model directory under Data, what the hell do people talk about anyway?  I'm so dumb!

First, you nust make a folder called model. In the Data Directory, and Place the Rules and Artini files in there.

To enable units. For example the Smugglars Quad. In the Rules file, put these lines in near the top of the SMquad entry.

PrimaryBuilding = HKFactory, ATFactory, ORFactory.

UnitGroup = FromFactory

If you do not wish the enemie to have them, remove those factorys from the Primary Line.

Then in the Artini file, find the SMQuad, and put in these lines above the XAF line, for example.

                [sMQuad]

                Icon            = "iconsHK_AsTank.tga"       IconGrey      = "iconsgrey_HK_AsTank.tga"

                Xaf            = "SM_Quad"

and replace the line 'LoadFlagOnlyPreplaced' With 'SideBarType = "Units'

Nope, sorry. That's only for maps specifically.

It's in the model000X.rfh (X is a digit depending on the version). This is in the DATA folder. It can be accessed, as Jacob says, using DuneEx. Note that while you're there, you may wish to extract ArtIni.txt
