Try my hand in editing Dune 2000

I was editing Dune 2000 using the tools i got from MVI's site. (Thank you MVI!!!) I wanted to edit a few building to add my own ones but it kinda comes out wrong. For example I try converting Harkonnen Spl Outpost to a flame turret. But it doesnt fire and acts as an outpost. Also I wanted to know how to add new unit art into the game. I would be glad if anyone could help.

The game i'm making will modify many units allowing each house to have more specific units rather than all house having mostly same units.Upgrades many of the original units to more better ones and also contains new campaign. Adding units and buildings like Sniper,Cobra Tank,Hark Gunship,Pop Up turret,Flame Turret.

Try using a more useless building to than a outpost...the Ix building is completly useless...I used it to create my very own tesla turret

It wont be a problem to turn it into a complete turret.

Here is a number of buildings that are useless

Atradies palace

Ordos Palace

Ix center of all houses

The windrap

The fremen siech...You know you can switch their native fremen into barraks soldiers than siech ones

The Light factories...can just set the teach of heavy factories and call them factory instead then you can use the light factory as a turret as well

and the units can be renamed to your own wantings...dont copy mine though...

Well a suitable building for a flame turret would be the Ix Center....very useless building...it can still be used to allow the tech of a unit

I dropped the idea of Hark Gunship by the way. Turned it into a flame tank.

Yeah I agree with you Palace and IX are both useless till an extent. But actually the Harkonnen and Ordos special outpost are quite useless also hence i was using it. But it didnt work.

This pretty much looks like an emperor battle for dune mod for me, isnt it? :D

Yeah I agree with you Palace and IX are both useless till an extent. But actually the Harkonnen and Ordos special outpost are quite useless also hence i was using it. But it didnt work.

atradies and ordos palace actually produce units though, they are not just a tech requirement.

No when i meant dropping atredies and ordos palace i meant taking the units built in them to another building.

Well Emporer i couldnt swallow. It was too bulky and bit confusing around the UI. 8)

I began mod making and a complete mission makeover. Allowing players to play as emperor, fremen and ix. Modifying all houses and buildings for this mod. Allowing ix to build all the spl tanks ,emperor to build sardukars for free ,fremen and atreides for the last stand.
