i wondering if sandworm is some kind of house, would it have base ? how this would be handled , if ever posssible

Imposible to give him buildings, and I dont think it can build with mcv. Not sure though. I know that in mission editor u can spawn units for him, but i haven try it yet , lol.. Perhaps I was too lazy all the time :P

Since there is no actual 'house' for a sandworm, It seems westwood implemented another faction for control over the sandworm. How ever if you switch the house index to 07, that is the default sandworm faction color.

- sandworm on radar map appear to be true white color. so it shall be white color for house but is not

how to add units/buldings to sandworm? got it run , but had to allow in tibed to atreides buldings set house "other" because i was taking error cant find correct construction yard . all i want is to make sandworm have units , own units and own base so it would appear on radar as white b instea of "this" color

When i was talking about toolkit, i meant to make an event, unit spawn for example, and put there some units , then choose the House as "Sandworm". See what happenes.

Index 7 is light brown color, not white.

Sandworm campaign? For keeping the novels alive and not totally killing them, I'd that should never happen :) Giving the sandworm BASES is total bullshit for a campaign, but may be fun for a single mission. Also, what kind of story could u put for a sandworm campaign? They are mindless creatures, hunting everything. Then without base, what kind of shit can u do? I mean, having a sandworm and moving on sand.. That cant be a campaign , u cant even kill enemy base :) hihi

i try to make sandworm as product , but game crash with blipimage is null or something .

found something. i added attribute on tibed to light infantry as sandworm. i sell barracks and game crash "cant find free slot for light infatry"

on map with map editor i place barrakcs on white sand and started to produce light infantry that appear to be -- SANDWORMS :D i created sandworms ! no crash, map was flooded with worms . they started to make light infantry gun use. i put it worm and same thing- but they do damage

Keeping this thread on the topic, about worms, the ones made from the barracks on sand moved out? were they controlable or just AI behaviour? did they eat units?

it does move on sand no way to get it ground. , you can click it and u see light infantry name. if you force fire it fire lmg weapon warhead, cant seem to make it use worm weapon ever after addint to it.

i try change unit image barel thing and others but cant make it eat tanks, it does actually ANY damage , that good.

i have tried to somehow "homize" the sandworm but its still uncontrollable .

i need urgent help, i know there was map editor with all exsisting house including sandworm , it was map editor im 100% sure i was holding one but my hard disk go to hell and lost over 400mb of files regarding dune2000 - this included maps tibed mods, researches for vars.bin and uil , and dll (had the devastators for skirmish as starting units)

to moderators, please delete spam posts that does not match this topic, i hate negative content and please do something with it.

problem is and that my worms can be overrun by tank , i hear scream of infantry when something go throught my worm ;d , i will try find more about it

ok , finally i changed something - tested to make it replace flying behavior to tracking. putting devastator weapon on sandworm does notthing he still consume units , possible the worm weapon is coded manually and is unchangeable

you cant ride sandworm. tried to mix this , you may try to use tank to give him sandworm behavior and use deviator on it but you cant ride them.

we need convert dune2000 to red alert realms so then we could insert fremen into converted IFV or flak track to make look of worm ride.

red alert 2 is more elastic than dune and would be possible to do but we have no available dev-team to start work on t

i am tying to figure out if real sandworm on dune2000 can have base and build normally units. , there is alot of complications around these things and i am alone so its hard to mee.

we need

1. if sandworm has different house for himself, let him build base. we think that house 7 is sandworm since

house 1 is atreides 2 ordos 3 harkonnen 4 fremen 5 emperor 6 smugglers 7 mercenaris 8 sandworm

in hex they have index 00 01 02 03 04 05 06 07

what si major problem? well that sandworm house if not inserted to mis file the ai behavior , then how does sandworm is controlled WHAT EXACLY CONTROL SANDWORMS AT ALL??? this is big unknown . if it control sandworm , why not buldings and units

why there is no instance for sandworm behavior in .MIS FILES?

would be nice to program sandworm specific functions and if possible - let him build base, i belive the sandworm is not house 7 - 7 is choam or ixians? only weeswood knew as orginally house 7/choam/ixians was never implememnted to .mis files there is no any instance to house 07 in any mis file.

howewer i have found in harkonnen mission 6 version 1 or 2, there is hidden coded emperor house assigned to ordos, but not added to map but instance in mis file exsist and ai too. after adding to map,, it build units and attack me

Interesting piece. When i said good for sandworm riders i meant sandworm control and the ability to shoot. You got it's modified file cuz i want to look at it.
