Gobalopper Posted September 3, 2003 Posted September 3, 2003 After some extended downtime due to a server move the site is now back up and running. I should have a couple maps uploaded later this week.
urisism09 Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Good to have the site back Hopefully problem free for the future.
Gwizz Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 The first post on this thread was made in 2003. We have had some problems this year as the site has been down 3 or more times and the notifications were faulty one time.Possibly upgrading is again being done to the server site. Today everything seems to be working correctly.
jeffryfisher Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Has there been a report on where the site was the last few days? All I could get was a database error. Is the site at risk?
Gwizz Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 I don't know. I would guess, the Sun Spot activity might be fueling caution. The Sun is still aimed in the general direction of the earth and will be for a few more days. The Sun Spot is still active. I haven't heard if this last ejection that has now passed the earth at 3 million MPH, was only a near miss or too weak to cause any problems. NASA and others seem to be only spectulators. The last big ejection to hit the Earth a few years back was blamed for the power outage in Eastern Canada. Maybe the grids were better protected this time.
Gobalopper Posted March 13, 2012 Author Posted March 13, 2012 According to our host there were some network connectivity issues between our web and database servers. Everything looks to be fine now.
