Exactly. It could only prove that the Atreides still remembered their origins - if any prequel material were to mean anything, ever :P

When you say Ancient Greece, you are painting with a broad brush. Are you talking about Sparta? [Very bad conditions for slaves], or Athens in the 400s BC? [Not so bad]

Heh, interesting how I asked almost the same question :) You probably missed it, athanasios had answered it already:

When you say "ancient Greece", what exactly do you mean? Athens? Sparta?

And I was mainly referring to Athens and the classic period.

I figured it ment that the Atreides were decended from a long line of thespians. Makes about as much sense as anything else in there.
