Wow, it has been awhile since we posted an update here and I am sorry for that. Instead of spamming a giant topic with lots of pictures and so on, I thought it'd be best to just make a fresh topic so you don't need to wait for 500 things to load up. But don't worry we're not dead, we are still alive and making good progress!

Radar

gtp0rong is off school and able to work for us once again, this time he has made another part of our HUD. Here is our new Radar, we've tried to keep it as close as the radar from Emperor: Battle for Dune.

Windtrap

House Harkonnen have been lacking their own Wind Trap for about a year now (we have been using the Atreides one as a placeholder). But they now have a new Wind Trap, modelled by LR01.

Construction Yard

We have also been using the Atreides Construction Yard for the best part of the year but LR01 has also modelled up the new Harkonnen Construction Yard.

BFD_Sandy_Pass

I have been busy recreating another Emperor: Battle for Dune 1v1 map, this time it is Sandy Pass, here are a WIP shot.

Supply Ports

As you know LR01 has been working on a Ordos home world map called BFD_IceCold. Now, with these home world maps we have a small problem, there is no Spice to gather and make money from.

So... We came up with the idea of Supply Ports/Stations where the Houses will be supply with money helping them fighting on other planets, or defending their own.

Harkonnen Assault Tank

We finally have our Assault Tank rigged up and ingame, check it out with all it's different camos!

War Factory

Now, it has been awhile since we have mentioned anything about House Atreides. Me and LR01 have been looking over the buildings Bullet.Design made for us and have seen how they are good but lacking in detail.

So we have started to add that much needed detail, starting with the War Factory!

Inkvine Catapult

ChAoS has been very busy with rigging our Harkonnen vehicles, this time he has been working on the Inkvine Catapult.

Ordos Pop-up Turrets

In past updates we have shown you our Ordos Pop-up Turret defences, and our recently updated Gas Turret. Well E! has gone and written us another awesome script that works kinda like the C&C Reborn one but different...

Due to the Pop-up Turret needing power, it will just simple not pop-up when an enemy is near when the power is knocked out.

The Gas Turret on the other hand does not require power and will shoot at you untill it gets destroyed.

Carryall & Harvesters

Well we save the best 'till last. We have been working on getting the Harvester and Carryall ingame, then for the script (thanks to E!) to be working with both of them and well... Just watch the video and enjoy.

I really think you should go more for the Dune II style wind traps... they are so much better-looking than these stylized simplistic shapes used in Emperor.

We are trying to keep to Emperor best we can, so the Dune II Windtraps most likely won't make it in sorry.

The Assault Tank has a full 180 angle so you have some decent aiming ability with it, it's a lot better this way.

Well, you could allow yourselves some variety. Not all buildings in Renegade were 100% recreations of their Command & Conquer counterparts.

They weren't ment to be, same goes for the vehicles and infantry. Look at the Stealth Tank and Flame Tank, not to mention the Nod Buggy. Renegade was more of a "remake" and then redesigned to be it's own game.

Close? I think you're in serious need of (new?) glasses if you think that was close. The only building that came somewhat close was the GDI Barracks :P

So the giant middle part, the side silos and the fact that the harvy docks in the middle with alittle extra building parts added isn't close to you? I think you need to compare both properly.

I know there are better version, I work on a mod called "The Brotherhood" a proper C&C95 total conversion mod. They have the right idea about how things should look.
