America's so called war on terror

Recommended Posts

Wanna see a  man in a cave and no tongue wearing flips flops and a turban making guns with his bare hands using bits of scrap metal

The war on america is against a bunch of patriotic citizens of war torn countries, who have no bullet proof armour, go to war wearing just their slippers and turbans, they live in caves, they make guns with their bare hands and they have been doin for centuries and will continue to do so.

And America is responsible for their own troubls. CIA in the first place was funding the talibans covertly. They shouldnt have trained them for guerilla warfare and bomb makingg they would have been ok.

Ahh, but they were fighting the evil Russians. So it was ok at the time.

And USA supplied Iraq with $, weapons and WMD when they were fighting Iran. Then it turned out that USA needed oil and Iraq/Saddam wasn't too friendly, so he got removed. Quite simple. US government bought the media. And since there are only around 5 big news media that control almost all televised/printed/radio news, it is very easy for the people at top of organization to tell rest of organization what to report on.

Actually China and Iran were there lending a hand to US as well. Funny considering that the Soviet Union sold weapons to Iran and helped them at the same time as they were helping their enemies.

It is not necessary to own the media, media reports on what would get best attention. We the Americans (as a nation not as a government, people love to show how evil the government is) are good guys would be a good report. Us good guys against them ad guys. The viewer doesn't need to think to much about the fact that there is more sides to the story. They keep them simple and since few have memeory longer than 2 weeks it is easy to switch sides.

As for the governments switiching their policy, well it just natural. There are no eternal allies or enemies.

Here is an example from years before:

"Don Miguel Ricardo Maria Juan de la Mata Domingo Vincente Ferre Alava de Esquivel, mercifully known as Miguel de Alava, was an officer in the Spanish navy in 1805 and served aboard the Spanish admiral's flagship, the Principe de Asturias. That ship fought nobly at Trafalgar and, though she was hurt badly, managed to avoid capture and escaped back to Cadiz. Four years later Alava had become an officer in the Spanish army. Spain had changed sides by then, and the Spanish army was allied with the British army under Sir Arthur Wellesley, the future Duke of Wellington, as it fought in the Peninsula, and General de Alava was appointed Wellington's Spanish liaison officer and the two became extremely close friends, a friendship that endured till their deaths. De Alava stayed with Wellington until the end of the Peninsular War when he was appointed the Spanish ambassador to the Netherlands and so was able to join the allies at the Battle of Waterloo where he remained at Wellington's side throughout the day"
