So it has been ongoing for the past several weeks.

Last night Montreal defeated the Boston Bruins. It took place in Montreal and Montreal fans rioted after the win. Those montrealers (? ). They sure know how to party. I'll never forget when they won the Stanley Cup in 1993 and had a huge riot. It would be interesting to see them win again, if only for the riots. Apparently they have the best chance of winning of all Canadian teams. Ottwawa Senators choked to death last week.

A canadian team better win the cup. If not then Pittsburgh can win simply because they have Crosby. :P

Hmm, according to wikipedia Montreal has been rioting since 1950s.

A similar thing happened in Slovakia. After the finals of the second league, fans of the winning team assembled around the entrance for players to give thanks to their heroes, but then police came and scattered them violently to "prevent rioting and vandalism". And after a while once again, as they were waiting around the bus for injured fans taking care in ambulance...

btw I hope Pittsburgh will be out as soon as possible

In Montreal's case, the police isn't in the same situation. This time, it seems the rioters were a minority of trouble-makers, and the police squad deployed was made of "neighborhood policemen" instead of a riot squad........ I'm not sure this time fits exactly with the other previous times.

Anyways, the Canadians lost their chance for the Stanley Cup this year, so we won't see the winning party (I still remember the 1993 one :P)

Game #2 of the finals is on now. The pengiuns have lost both games. And now in the end of the 3rd period they are constantly fighting. One guy knocked a goalie over. :P

3 penguins in the penalty box...

Go Penguins!
