An update on the news page?  My God, is it the end of the world?

'Fraid not, just the announcement of a new major motion picture based on Dune!

Rumours about this have been floating around for several months now but, as they have just been rumours, they've been ignored by us here at the FED2k staff.  The official announcement can now be found over at Dune Novels and it contains some interesting info.  Paramount is releasing it as one of their major 2009 tent pole films (although IMDB has it listed for 2010, which would make a lot more sense), meaning it's going to have a massive budget and marketing campaign that usually involves the release of a new video game....
