Hunters of Dune - $7.99 hardcover

Yes, it's that time again, Chapters is liquidating it's hardcover copies of the second latest Dune novel for 8 bucks (every new dune book has ended up in this pile... when will they learn to order less?).

Despite my  feeling that these last two books are even bigger insults to the Duniverse than all the prequels combined, and culminate in one of the most ridiculous climaxes (that was predicted on these boards years ago under the title "Team Atreides - F#$% Yeah!") ever written, I, the fool that I am, still bought it for eight bucks.

Mostly in the hopes that fifty years from now I'll be able to sell it for $10 and make a two dollar profit off some poor fool.

Already ordered in Perry Bible Fellowship webcomic book.

I picked up House Harkonnen a long time ago hardcover for around $10.

Maybe I'll pick up a copy.  Although I'd prefer softcover; I might just wait until it's $2 at a used bookstore instead.

I feel suckered. I don't want to remember how much I paid for my copy, nor what I was thinking when I decided.
