gunner154
I've recently gotten Age Of Empires Collector's Edition DVD, which is apparently a re-release by Ubisoft under the Ubisoft Exclusive series. It basically takes the entire Collector's Edition and condenses it into a DVD.While Age of Empires and its expansion have music, Age of Kings and its expansion do not have music. Music does play in the main menu, but not during the game. I've read up on several sites and some people have reported hearing music and some not hearing any music. These sites mainly talk about the standard CD version though.I'd just like to check, does the game have music? And how can I get the music here to run?Edit: This is the version I got. http://www.take2.co.za/product.php?id=1463
Aristeas
I have the original aoe2 and it does have in-game music as does the Conquerors expansion. Dunno where to get it though.
gunner154
Issue resolved: I just added a -midimusic perimeter to the shortcut, and dumped the midi folder with combined tracks from the Age of Kings and The Conquerors expansion into the sound folder. The game now behaves just like the demo, with midi music which I'm quite comfortable with anyway.
Tatar Khan
Ok midi files are lower quality music so i would recommend my fix to the problem. You got to my Computer, right click on your cd-rom drive and properties. Than harware tab and choose your cd-rom drive, than go to properties tab in the new winodw that opened and play around with digital audio play option check box. Ussually fixes all the problems
gunner154
The DVD edition I have does not have Redbook audio, so meddling it is not going to produce music out of nothing.
