Yea this board is SATA ready with 4 SATA ports. So just connect the red cord that came with the Mboard to the new HDD and thats it?

So is SATA a faster speed for the HDD more or less. or a better type of connection or both?

Better type of connection. Allows more data to be transferred and faster read times. The HDDs spin at the same 7200rpm themselves though, along with having either 8mb or 16mb cache.

youre right there man take number one and off you go.Next you buy a sata dvd rom and get rid of all the ide cables,which means more air through to your components hehe
