The web browser just doesn't load the web pages, as if my PC weren't connected.

And your post isn't very descriptive as to what your problem is.

So you installed the latest version 2.0.0.1 ?

And you open it up and try to go to any website but it doesn't go to them, just gives you the error page? Does it immediatly go to the error page or does it try to connect for many seconds then give error page?

What is your internet connection? (high speed cable, broadband, dialup etc)

Have you gone into tools->options->wherever conection settings are and make sure it is using your correct connection settings?

Has FF worked at all, ever ?

Has your firewall blocked FF ? Have you explicitly given permission for FF to access the internet ?

Hey! What was the point in deleting my post? I was merely suggesting he gave more information, because from the sound of it, his PC isn't even on.

I was short of time, sorry.

By connected, I meant to the internet (Broadband). And IE works, without problems.

I open FF, try to load a web page, but nothing happens, not even the loading bar appears, not even an error message.

This happens since I reinstalled windows (without reformating), because of a motherboard problem. I reinstalled FF (and fully upgraded), but the problem persisted.

That is very weird.

No idea why it would do that. It shouldn't.

Maybe install opera and see if the internet works with it? (just to see if it is just firefox you have the problem with or non IE browsers that don't work.)
