Family History?

Was recently being bored, and entered my dad's name into google, through a couple pages found a free geneology listing of our entire family tree up to two generations ago, rather intresting. We have been in America for a very long time.

Well anyway, how long has your family been in America, Latvia, Mongolia or where ever? have you been natives since the dawn of times or newcomers

Joseph S.3 Mishler (Hans2 Mischler, ???1) was born Abt. 1732 in EutigenPforzheim, Baden-Durlach, Wurttemberg, Germany, and died Aft. 1814 in Somerset County,Pennsylvania. He married Elizabeth Berkey Abt. 1762 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, daughter of Christian Berkey and Catherine Saylor. She was born 1741, and died Bef. 1810 in Somerset County, Pennsylvania.

You were actually able to input the name and eventually find your lineage lines??

Lucky you. My family is on a website, but that is because a family member maintains it.

I haven't been very sucessful with searching before, just some misc sites that do have our info.

I can't find anything on mine. There are vague hints that we've been in Scotland for several hundred years, and that there might be a branch in America somewhere, but nothing concrete.

I do, however, know that one of us named a jerboa after himself. Or possibly someone else did it for him. *shrug*
