D2k Sardaukar
If they programmed in Dune 2000 (in single player) that you can ally with mercenaries why wouldn't it be possible to do this with a different house? They won't build probably, but they will attack just like mercenaries.
sandworm
There is a way to make more buildings for the mercs, as asked previously. For this, you need shai halud 2000. Open a ordos map from the dune2000 mission folder, in this case open the map O8v1, if you know the map well, you can locate the mercenary base, but they appear only as spice blocks or sandworm spawns. If you click select mode, drag where the merc buildings are and press CNTRL-C to copy. Then open up a O9v1 or o9v2 and select an area to paste the buildings. Save the map then put it in your dune 2000 mission folder, (make sure you back up a file of the recent mission) Then start a Ordos 9 mission and you will see the extra bases you pasted.
