Gaming Christmas List

What is everyone wishing for this Christmas as far as games go? The major things I'm going to grab would have to be:

- Battlefield 2

- Dungeon Siege 2

- Age of Empires 3

I was really hoping for Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion but the release date got crapped.

- Rebirth

Nothing coming out that soon, so I'm hoping for the PC versions of the first two Metal Gear games (insert your own jokes :P).

Having said that, 2006 should bring us Oblvion and Neverwinter Nights 2! Yay!

Also, I advise you to avoid Dungeon Siege 2. It's very boring.

- 2 (or more) horny naked women

- licence to kill

- lots of drugs (whatever kind... anything I won't use I can sell at least)

whoops... you were talking 'bout pc games.

no pc games for me, no time for gaming, and no gaming pc anymore. anyway all my wishes start at 500

Heh. Dungeon Siege 2 is the boring type of stuff that I appreciate. Sorry to hear that you don't like that stuff.

Cheers to Oblivion, THAT will be a great game. Neverwinter Nights 2 as well.

Currently my Christmas Wish is that I get accepted into the Dungeons and Dragons Online: Stormreach beta at some point also  :)

Battle for Middle Earth (1) wasn't exactly a show-stopper. I played it, the online community was minimal, the campaign was easy with heroes, skirmishes were meh.

I can't really expect 2 to be different besides the fact they'll change one or two physics of the game, maybe a minor provision in graphics, and new units/structures. A team maybe.

I liked beating the stuffing out of Aragorn. Mwa ha ha ha. >:D

On the Dungeon Siege 2 note, I thought I'd like it. I mean I liked Dungeon Siege enough to play it through twice and get about halfway several more times. But DS2 is just... so... dull. I mean really. It's repetative to a horrible degree. 'Move here, kill things, heal, move here, kill things, heal, move here, die, res, move here, kill things...' That's all that happens. They made the most minimal of tweaks to the combat system to prevent people from going away and leaving their characters to level up, but those tweaks are frankly annoying.

DS2 is all style (good style though, I'll give it that. Some of the graphics are very nice) and no substance. Shame, really.

Moving on, I'd like to see someone announce (or even hint at) a Knights of the Old Republic III; and getting the Restoration Project for KotoR II released as soon as humanely possible would be a wonderful, wonderful thing.

I feel the same about parts of Dungeon Siege 2, but I downloaded the (updated) Single Player Demo yesterday and I aboslutely loved it. Just the gameplay itself. The talent/skills tree, how you attack (rather than just clicking once and it auto-melees/shoots), your party, the concept of quests. I especially can't wait for multiplayer. I feel it'll be a charm for me. But we'll have to wait and see.

On a side note, I'm looking forward to Oblivion when it comes out.

I don't have a good taste for games like FEAR or Need for Speed.

A. I hate racing games.

B. I hate scary games.

Therefore:

C. I hate FEAR

D. I hate Need for Speed

Anyways, I am really looking forward to tomorrow. I'm gonna pick up Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War and its expansion as well.
