MrFlibble
Naturally I was simplifying that. And it is also quite understandable that changing sides and allegiances is a good way to forge plot twists. But it still is somewhat... repetitive.BTW: accrding to the new canon lore, Draenor is what the non-native Eredar-Draenei called that world. Why would Orcs call it so (in WC2), if it's a foreign name used by species Orcs had very little contact with (before they wiped 'em out completely, that is)? MrFlibble
It seems to me they planned him killed first, but then retconned that for WoW.BTW, I've found World of Warcraft Wiki to be quite a detailed source of information.
MrFlibble
OK, the question is: how the skull got back to Draenor? For those who don't remember the story, I'll review (WARNING! SPOILERS! RUN!!! ;)):[hide]In Tides of Darkness, Gul'dan is killed by Blackrock Orcs after raising the Tomb of Sargeras. In Beyond the Dark Portal, his skull is worn by a Bonechewer Clan Captain as a sign of rank, and then is claimed by the agents of Ner'zhul's Shadowmoon Clan. Within the Warcraft 2 storyline it can be safely assumed that Gul'dan's head was brought to Doomhammer, and some Blackrock Orc (probably the one who assassinated Gul'dan) took the skull for himself, and later he (or someone else) brought the skull to Draenor when the Horde was retreating with Kilrogg Deadeye through the rift.[/hide]However, in The Frozen Throne the story was retconed a little:[hide]Gul'dan dies in the Tomb, killed by demonic Tomb Guardians, and the Tomb is sealed by his shamanistic followers.[/hide]So there can be two explanations:a) Some Orc(s) heroically rushed into the demon-infested Tomb and carried what remained of Gul'dan out. Could have used some of his time to pick the Eye of Sargeras too ;)b) The Burning Legion agent(s) took the skull out and occasionally dropped it in Draenor for the Orcs to use ???
