Converting avi to dvd

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows a good program that I can use to convert avi and mpeg files to vob (dvd format) so that my dvd player can read it.

But I haven't heard of a shareware/freeware program that performs such a task.

I use Nero for all of mine, but DVD Santa is great for doing that sort of thing on the fly. Doesen't get any easier than that. http://www.dvdsanta.com/

Yea it does that too either way .vob to .avi. I believe. It's been a while since I used it. It is great for fast easy burning, but the drawback is there is no editing part to the program like inserting scene selects, covers etc. but can't beat it for fast dvd burning.
