Mr_Hangman
I tried to install it once and it didn't work and I got confused. I reinstalled the game but I want to know what to do before I try installing the patch again. I unzipped the files and now I have the readme, a folder labled Data. What exactly do I do with it? There is another icon labled Dune2000.dat. What do I do with this?
quoudam72
Delete the Dune2k folder and uninstall the game then reinstall the game again, download the patch follow the instructions put the correct name of the place where Dune2k is located. It should automatically overwrite some files, you can do it manually and let it show what it overwrites or do it automatically.
Timenn
Hmm, your savegames are saved in the data-folder. If you want to save them from deletion. You must not delete the data-folder or backup the savegames (*.sav I thought)
Mr_Hangman
I tried again and it still didn't work. I suppose I'm a computer dunce and I need step by step instructions. I still can't build the new units, but it does say V1.06 on the main menu. And I did move my save folders to keep the saves.
Gobalopper
Why don't you try the auto-update?
Lord J
The auto-update doesn't work right in Dune 2000, I had to download the patch from here to play it online. although I don't remember exactly what I did. I think I just move all the new files into the Dune2000 folder and let them overwrite the old ones.
