Well, a few times I have noticed this, and thought maybe it was something wrong with my machine, but its more common now and with different machines.

The who's online page, http://www.dune2k.com/ladder/?show=online lists no players as being online but clicking on the "...click here for detailed online listing for XWIS..." link shows there to be two games hosts (at the time of writing  ::)) and many players.

Whats happening ? Is it having difficulty coping witht the load ?

First page is neater (only lists Emp players).

I find it easier to use, as do most people here (info taken from a recent poll ;))

its not that hard to spot EBFD players on the second list as the the tag is right by their name.... also if there is a game you see it at top of page... and if the first page is inaccurate then you are wasting time viewing it.

Will do, O Great Gob.

Mr Wounds, I find the second page harder to use then the first. The first page has only started to be inaccurate now, and only sometimes. Once its fixed, it will be perfect, as it was.  :)

I have had that happen to me a few times as well. What seems to work for me is I just give it about 10 seconds and than I refresh the screen. Usually this gives me accurate info.

Little off subject, but it's hard to beleive not everyone knows how to check who's online. For those who don't I would suggest erjins link in the main topic. I too find this one to be more convenient since I am only concerned with EBFD. From this page you will also be able to click on links taking you to game summaries where you can see the results of games that have been played (and registered).

.... but Mr. Erjin if you always are double checking the second page as i suspect you secretly do.. then the first page isnt saving you any time. Or have you conditioned yourself to not peek at it anymore?

I...am...condition...to...only...use...that...one...page..... ... ... ...

When that happens can you send me the "view source" output of this page?

http://xwis.net:4005/?pure=

I opened the link, and once it opened, I went to View Source. Hope thats what you meant.

The player that wasnt showing was Impactpwr. The main page was showing "no one currently online...".

He is in that list, so I guess its on "our" side  ???

Hmm ok. I changed a bit of the code and it might have fixed that. Let me know if it doesn't. And can you save that output as a text file next time? When you post it to the board it is removing all the tabs. Thanks.

Got it again just now.

I have attached a txt file saved with FFox. Let me know if it is ok, as the tabs seem missing :P

EDIT:

I will now attach a htm file as it is shown to me on the screen. There is a distinctive lack of tab marks and carriage marks, at least to my naked eye.

I have had to rename it to txt. Its the second one.

Hmm weird. I would need something like the text file I attached. The tabs are preserved there and I also copy/pasted from Firefox.

Thats the thing, my result from the xwis.net/?pure= looks very different, it has not set tabs. Maybe I am using different encoding for the page ?

I will try it from work, where I have IE also working. I will see if I can get the text file, as it is quite common now, the problem that is.

I was shure I replied to this post with a txt file. Hmmm...

Anyway, its still happening. Attached is the txt file, which is a  html page but renamed txt because a certain someone has blocked html pages  ;) ;)

Just rename or open with your browser.

One thing though, in my FFox, it shows up as a single line, but in the file here it seems to be tab seperated  :O
