"In a March 1979 entry to his testament, John Paul said he left no material property and asked that Dziwisz burn all his personal notes."

So when did ignorning the last will and testament become a church edict?  I thought for the previous ~2000 years, immediately upon death, one carried out the previous pope's last will.  This is an interesting turn.

I'm wondering if these papers will be "forever sealed" in the vatican vault for only those "trusted scholars" or if they will be published so the rest of the world will know John Paul's most secret thoughts?

...and the moral of the story is: Make sure to burn your diary and any other personal notes before you retire to your death bed.
