topic for a debate tourney this weekend, please help me out!

Well some people are senile by the time they become 65, others are sharp minded at the age of 80. The only problem I see is when they get so old they're no longer in touch with current reality, but I'm not sure if that's what you mean.

I have a better idea: Supreme Court Justices should serve fixed terms rather than being appointed for life.

Appointing anyone to any position for life is generally a bad idea, since it invites him to abuse his powers.
