Dragoon Knight Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 I'm posting this topic to introduce this game to people.
Khan Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 It sounds alot like Ambar, but better, if it doesn't constantly delete your account. I'll join for sure. :)EDIT: just made an account, but I have to wait 30 mins...:(
Dragoon Knight Posted January 19, 2005 Author Posted January 19, 2005 Yay! My first recruit! ;DOK, take a look here. It's a link to a temporary clicker program. Download everything it says to in the "Installation" section and then run it. Make sure you set up the options correctly (like your unique link... in your case, it would be m25a9428).Since the reset is coming soon, just try and get used to clicking. You'll soon get the idea... you click the number corresponding to the one spelled out in the image. Like, if it said "ONE" in the image, you'd click the "1" button. Once you build up enough clicks, you'll start getting clicks back. Each click gets you 1 man, which means gold.I'll have the guide sent to you as soon as it is finished. Bogged down with University work at the moment, but please keep playing! You are very valuable as my officer. :)Thanks again! More people join!!
Khan Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Doesn't this kinda count as cheating? Meh...Sounds good!
Dragoon Knight Posted January 19, 2005 Author Posted January 19, 2005 No, it's not cheating. It's just semi-automating the process, speeding it up. It's only when you get auto-clickers that it starts being cheating. You're safe with me. :P
Beonid Posted January 20, 2005 Posted January 20, 2005 I might join, if I have the time.EDIT:Can I change my army?
Dragoon Knight Posted January 21, 2005 Author Posted January 21, 2005 Kings of Chaos can take a lot of time, especially if you want to get a really good rank. But as long as you click for about half an hour each day, you'll still manage to have a reasonably excellent account without having to do much at all. :)Vaccine, you'll have to wait until the end of Age 3 until you can change your army. It was scheduled for mid-January, so any time now, really. :P But as soon as Age 4 starts, you choose your account again. Fortunately, your commander / officer list stays the same.If you want my help to play this game, become my officer by going here and clicking "Make Dragoon_Knight my officer!". Then, fill in the text shown into the box exactly... capitals, spaces, punctuation.... everything exactly the same as shown. Then you're my officer, and you can get lots of help. :PIf you haven't joined yet, and are interested, go here instead, click on the numbered button that corresponds to the number spelled out in the picture that is shown, then click "Join The War!". Then you shall be my officer, and subject to protection and help. :)Keep joining up everyone, and thanks!
Beonid Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 I've joined, but the clicker program is too big!
Dragoon Knight Posted January 21, 2005 Author Posted January 21, 2005 Ah, you still have a 56k connection, right? Yeah, I know the files are pretty big. It's not even the clicker that's huge, it's just the Microsoft .net Framework file that's the killer.I'm looking in to an alternative for you now, and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Just keep at it. When Age 4 comes, we'll have the BEST clicker in the world working for us... and eet don't need no steenking Microsoft file! ;D
Barbarossa Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 I played this one or so years ago, back in age 2. I had a large force as I recall- 250,000 humans.
Vidi Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 well i'll have a go to see haw it works (usally with internet games I lose intrest in about 30 mins to 10 days so lets hope this is good)
Dragoon Knight Posted January 24, 2005 Author Posted January 24, 2005 I played this one or so years ago, back in age 2. I had a large force as I recall- 250,000 humans.Really? Would you be interested in playing again? ;DOh, and my commander Jaszon would like to know what name you played as. He knows a lot about KOC history, and wants to see if he remembers you. :P But seriously, please consider joining as my officer. Next age, I'm aiming for the top 500, and my officers will be right up there with me. :)Also, thank you for joining, Vidi! That makes 4 officers now, three of which are from FED2k, which I am very proud of. Check out the links above for the clicker program... still waiting for ClickWhore, I'm afraid. I promise to keep you all posted though. Thank you! :)
Barbarossa Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 I dunno, I've had alot of screennames in the past. I believe it was ss-something.Sure I'll rejoin.
Dragoon Knight Posted January 24, 2005 Author Posted January 24, 2005 Cool, thanks for the support. :)As I've said before, follow the links aboove to join under me and get a hold of the clicker program. If you've played before, I know that I'll have another really good officer! When Age 4 arrives, we are so gonna rule. :)
Barbarossa Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 O.K. I'll sign up next time I get online. P.S Dragoon, post in Arrakis Factions!
Vidi Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 Great! ;D The only problem is that i cant get that clicker program to work, can't wait for ClickWhore yay ;D (lets hope its better...). At least it'll be fairer with everyone starting of the same. -Vidi
Dragoon Knight Posted February 17, 2005 Author Posted February 17, 2005 That's the idea. :) I'll be posting here as soon as Age 4 begins, with all of the appropriate links. First up will be re-activating your account. You'll do that by simply logging in when Age 4 has begun. Once that happens, you'll have to sign up to use ClickWhore, and get on the Click List. After that, you can start clicking!Let me take a moment aside to stress the importance of clicking... there are very few people who get anwhere in this game that do not click. The people who do manage to achieve high ranks only do so because they have a lot of officers... who click. :PIf you simply take some time each day to click a couple of hundred links (or all of them... it seriously won't take any more than 15 minutes :)) then you will get hundreds of men in return. And more men means more Turn Based Gold, which means more money available to buy weapons and train men, which means a higher rank. The logic works!Watch this space! Come Sunday (not sure what time) there will be links here telling you exactly what to do. Make sure and get here quick to maximise the benefit! :P And thanks again for being my officers!
Beonid Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 I know this may sound odd, but I can't access my hotmail account, so I can't really join.
Dragoon Knight Posted February 18, 2005 Author Posted February 18, 2005 You could petition for one in the GMail Sharing Thread. I understand that there are a lot of members willing to give out invites. (Thanks again, Andrew :)).
Barbarossa Posted February 19, 2005 Posted February 19, 2005 I went to sign up, but it's switching to age four! God, I just cannot help but think back to the old days of age one and two.....
Dragoon Knight Posted February 19, 2005 Author Posted February 19, 2005 Yep, that's Age 3 over. I'm happy to say that I finished at a respectable Rank 2,900 or so. The final ranks list will be published soon after the restart, which is tomorrow, U.S. time. The most logical thing for them to do would be to restart 24 hours after this Age ended... but the KOC Admins are not really reliable for this kind of thing. :)But don't worry, as soon as the next Age begins, there will be a post here with all of the appropriate details.
Dragoon Knight Posted February 19, 2005 Author Posted February 19, 2005 They tend to be a bit dispassionate about the game most of the time. They rarely ever update things, but the game is great anyway.I just hope that they make more of an effort in Age 4. :)
Barbarossa Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 Yeah, Do you know if they changed the way you research defenses and such?
