erjin999 Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Too much bandwidth ?For a game with a few people on it ? No, I dont believe it was bandwidth, it might have been something else, but...no, not bandwidth.
AMIgaBot Posted January 12, 2005 Author Posted January 12, 2005 theat game was old, there was many reasons why they got down :/ 1. bandwith (abused because dos attacks)2. game was too old. 3. many players played that game but they not eoungh to maintenain it longer.4.server and bandwdth was wasted .
erjin999 Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 point 3 seems the most likely for me, the effort to reset it should it go wrong and that kind of thing, most likely.
Andrew Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 That came from an employee of EA?The grammar and such is not very good for a person involved with public relations...
erjin999 Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Andrew, where did it say he works for public relations ? I missed that.I did wonder about the language, but I figured he worked for EA in another country. :-
Andrew Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 In order to contact someone from EA, wouldn't you have to email the company?AMIgaBot said he e-mailed EA sports, so I would think they have someone in PR or in some way someone who can communicate effectively. Unless AMIgaBot informally knows the contact. It hurt reading the post. ;)Maybe he was working in another country or if AMIgaBot is outside North America then the e-mail may have went to workers in a similiar country. Must be.

Gobalopper Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 AMIgaBot = syczek = lives in polandHence the language issue.
erjin999 Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 I think we are more confused about whether it is his friend who works for EA, or a friends friend, or just a EA Company Representitive/PR Person.
Andrew Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 Sure. I figured AMIgaBot was from poland by the email adress, wasnt sure where the EA guy was from, or something.Because if it was a representative from North America responding to AMIgaBot, I would think the English would be better. Assuming the messages above were not translated by AMIgaBot.
