If I was a hacker... (IE Security!)

Theres a difference between running melicious code on a computer and hacking my computer. Hacking is a very confused term nowadays, it is clearly defined as:

"To use one's skill in computer programming to gain illegal or unauthorized access to a file or network"

The exploit mentioned in Andrew's post isn't even hacking, its just malicious activity.

And if you read my original post, I stated that the "exploit" would not be possible due to activeX being disabled, Andrew would not be able to carry out his test.

And also, I would very much like to see someone come up with an exploit in MSN (don't bother bringing up the possible exploitation possiblilities of the "winks" in the new MSN BETA as I have not upgraded to that version).

Virtually every port is locked out by the router so yes, someone would have a very hard time trying to get in.

And I never said that "firewalls" was the only thing protecting my system, regular anti-virus updates are carried out, I utilise a proxy for my connection so I am essentially a ghost as it were and plenty of other monitoring programs are running.

The definition of a worm (according to Panda Software):

Worm: This is similar to a virus, but it differs in that all it does is make copies of itself (or part of itself).

By the way, what does "ignorange" mean?

An orange version of ignorance.

I have seen viruses send themselves through MSN... Although it involved a user clicking on a link that is sent to them I think. Then it sends messages to everyone on the contact list to spread the virus or whatever it is termed.

Look it up, hacking is a very confused term nowadays (:P), hacking meant to go at your computer, programming at random (hence the hacking
