no. gas can be usefull also in later games. kindjal to, to protekt ur base (kindjal+minos for example against buzzaws and tanks) and to have some flamers in ur base against frems can be helpfull 2....dont forget snipers against worms...

so u r right that inf isnt that important later in game, but u still will need it or loose...hehe

2kalony...well...for defense yes....but kindjals are useless for attack. yes flamethrower infantry is good to have in base against enemys infiltrating units...my opinion is that atreides infantry is weakest from all in emperor ( snipers are good but thats all )...harkonnen...they have flamethrower inf-well armored and strong against inf. they have troopers- classic RL infantry. Ordos have AA infantry, they have mortar infantry and chemical troopers too ( weakest flameth. inf in fact ). but atreides have only soldiers with machine-guns and kindjals and snipers. I never play atreides... :-X ;)

no, atr regular infantry can be hugely handy in most times of a game.  if you only have like 3-4 minos or so, cover them w/ loads of inf/sards/trikes.  but it is really only the most effective against hark/ords or an atr player who doesnt go minos.  It just depends when you use them and how, in that effect almost every single unit in the game has some use.  about the only one that really doesnt is the ghola, unless someone can develop a strategy for them hehe.

well......but infantry needs tank backup in later game because enemy can simply cut them down...if i use any infantry for attack, its sardaukars, mortar inf. or Rocketlauncher infantry. But im not so good player like people here, i have never played EBFD online, so maybe im wrong.. ??? so im going to start emperor and try it ;D
