Fly eating robots

There is a Swedish article about a robot that has been constructed - it uses flies as energy.

They made it a bit sarcrastic, saying that "Matrix is no longer a dream" lol.

To sum up, the robot can sustain itself. It catches flies and "consumes" them, turning them (in short) to energy. The robot can't do very much except walking really slowly, 12 cm/hour at fastest. But, in a span of 5 days it only needs 8 flies to survive and to "send messages", whatever that means.

Anyways, could this be the answer to getting rid of all the trash-piles in the Western world?

Hmm, interesting. If those robots could be more usable and faster, meat would be a great alternative energy source.
