DesktopX objects and widgets

There is an incredible program called DesktopX that allows you to easily customize your desktop with various themes, widgets (nifty programs for things such as displaying CPU/memory info, To-Do lists, calendar, games, etc), and objects. I just installed it today and it's incredible how useful it is and fun! It doesn't cost a thing to download, however there is a version that you would pay for, with more options of course.

My favorite widget is the To-Do list, and the fish that swims around your desktop.

Anybody try this out before?

Sounds good, but it might slow down the computer (as it would have to startup with windows)

A to-do list sounds interesting though, unless you have Microsoft Outlook.

EDIT - It has widgets! I thought those were not real and only in Operations Management problems. :D

Yeh but you've gotta understand... a computer is not a car.

I don't need a 'dashboard' telling me how much CPU/memory/free space I have left.

But the fish that swims around your desktop, they should release that seperately. :P

Crusher, you can pick and choose what you want to run, and what you want to run at start-up if any. The widgets, once DesktopX is installed, are run using .exe's individually.

Performance is an issue Andrew, but I'm not sure how much it slows down a computer of low processor speed/RAM, it is unnoticeable on my computer.
