Does anyone have any strats for beating the atreides emperor worm mission? I tried to uses fremen feds but they get slaughtered by the guild mega-cannon. I tried to rush it with all my starting units but my sonic tanks got killed. The projector and the APCs made it but it declared me defeated when my base got trashed. Adv. Carryalls kept get shot down and usually only 50% makes it there. The guild also gets reins quikly there with NIAB tanks. What should I do?

Ok. I assume from your post you are allied with the Fremen and the Ixians. I haven't played the mission yet but here is how I'd go at it. Do a stupid large scale rush and make sure projectors and mass projections are in it. Try and project an enemy NIAB tank. Then keep making more of it. Use their own weapons against them.

Here is my strat:

I build my base and rush to Sonics and Adv. Carryall

In the ridge line outside your base... send two Minos to take care of the southern side Living Turrets

next send 4 or 5 Ornits to remove the Mega Cannon

Fly 3 or 4 Sonic to it oonce destroyed...

From there fly to the Emporer Worm

shouldn't be a prob after that

:) My base was trashed just as i destroyed the worm.... You only have ONE shot if you use this tactic...

Thanks, just beat the level! I found out that u have to move these feds really fast so the mega-cannon shot don't kill u.

What Mega Cannon?

maybe thats why my first wave of Feds died when i Played Ordos

but 10 Las Tanks did for me there :)

The MEga-cannon is the thing your mentant told u to capture. iT IS VERY POWERFUL and have super long range.

jeeez i played like 15 missions or was it 19 missions and still havent got to the worm lel nore did i get see movies the atreds have like one more regens left how many missions do i have to do before i wio this game plus why is my movies so choppy

Choppy Movies??

maybe your CD Drive isn't fast enough...

or maybe your Video card can't take movies...

One of my friends has the same problem... I'm dumbfounded considering he has better specs than mine :D

Check the readme file for info on how to fix that, if it's not there try WW Tech Support. It is either add a +w to the command line or change a setting on your CD-ROM drive.
