SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT XWIS

Was on WOL today and found about 10 players there, who had not heard about XWIS Server!!!

When you got a spare hour or so visit WOL guys and spread the word about the new server and of course Dune2k.com, lets try to get everyone back on XWIS and some new blood it's amazing how many new players are out there but they soon give up becuase of WOL's lack of players, chat etc, so come on make the effort and get spreading the word.

And lets give these guys a chance to learn how much fun it is online.

It's also an idea to spread the word in other games you play you may be pleasantly surprised how many people out there have Emperor still but just don't play coz they think the online game is dead.

Can someone stick alink to the new xwis down load plz. must learn how to do that some time  ;)

Yes, I do that a couple of times a month, a couple of weeks ago I played two guys from holland, and told them about fed2k and xwis, but I haven't been online very much because of work, so I don't know if they came over or not.

Can we not arrange WOL days, where a few of us go to WOL and recruit a load of new players ?

These peope need to read the forums... i read the official/unofficial forums for every game i play.

I had someone recommend the forum to me, and thats how I found it. There were a few sites when I searched my self and I never realised there was such a community still around online (I was worried no one would be playing online when I got Emp !).

Maybe it would be good to go to WOL and let people know. Only thing is, quite a few of them don't know what we are talking about and do not want to know.

exactly ... only hardcore players will want to play on XWIS and only hardcore players will want to visit the forums... meaning one will lead to the other... if not then maybe they arent really interested.

And some are just unaware. so spread the word and if their not bothered then fine but out of 7 people i spoke to in a short period of time all expressed interest 3 knew dune2k but seem surprised it was still going and the others all said they would check out the site, so maybe i was lucky but even if their not interested or bothered no harms been done. ;)

A while back I used to go over there and find noobs and tell em bout xwis in fed2k but they would never listen.

From wot I have seen and as many probably know that most people play on WoL on sundays so I try to ask people on wol about xwis but they just dont want to around so... but i will keep trying.

I don't know about that Jeff, Me n Whistler listened to you, I just haven't had time to play because of work, and when we did play we were playing on Ords because I got my nephew in the game but the serial# I made him wouldn't work on xwis. (solved that by buying him a new copy, see my other post)
