GhostHunter
My question is - does this finally allow a AMD processor to run Windows in 64-bit?

GhostHunter
No, Windows isn't compatiable with the 64-bit capibility of the AMD 64-bit Processor - standard Windows at least. So I'm curious how to make it work.
erjin999
Shure, not with the 64 bit capability, but what about with the 32bit capability ? It does have a 32bit capability, no ?
GhostHunter
Sure, but that's not in 64-bit. :P
erjin999
Quite right too, as there is no Windows OS that runs in 64 bit mode yet. It is in development I think though... And SQLServer does run in 64bit mode if you want :D
Cyborg
If you wondered, AMD 64 has both 32 and 64 bit capabilities. All present Windows versions run in 32 bit mode, but the 64 bit processors are not a waste. They do have some untapped potential, though.
