Although the final size of Service Pack 2 is not set, the most recent beta was a beefy 264 Gbytes. Because of that size, the service pack will also be available as a free CD mailed to users who request it, Poole promised.

How the hell am I supposed to fit 264 Gbytes onto my 80 bg hard drive?

There must have been an error in that report. (Maybe Mbytes?)

It also says it will turn on windows firewall by default. Will this affect online games/downloading. I also heard it will disable cd keys from being used or something?

I can say that I was not impressed with SP1, so I dont see why I should get SP2.

EDIT- nevermind on another site it said 264 mbytes.

Wonder if I can put windows XP on my 2 gb pentium 2 300 mhz 60mb ram?

You can put it on the 2 gb pentium 2 300 mhz 60mb ram, however, it will work well.

Get an older Windows version for that one.

Also, the Service Packs contain many good things, so it's a smart thing to download them.

The firewall restricts a lot of your upload possibilities, aswell as denying you network access.

note: recent service packs can all be obtained from MS on a free CDrom which they ship to your home. With the exception of a few SP's just for corporate use...
