Austrian bundespresident Thomas Klestil, born on 4.november 1932 in Wien, deceased due to heart problems yesterday at 23:33 CET. This educated economist and former diplomat (ambassador of Austria by OECD, UN and later in USA) was elected as presidential candidate of OVP (Austrian People's Party) in 1992, reelected again in 1998. Tommorow he would celebrate 12th anniversary of his presidentship.  In april Austrians elected Heinz Fischer as his successor, altough he has not entered bureau yet. Klestil ended his life way in true austrian style - serving his nation to the end.

As CNN and BBC are (as long as I saw it) ignoring this loss and prefer more things like strike at some greek hotel, at least I condolate.
