Where does Walt Brown stand on abortion, fetal rights, student visas, communications policies, and space exploration? Out of curiosity?

Abortion: Should only be allowed when the woman is endangered; should involve waiting periods and notifications; ban partial-birth abortions.

Fetal Rights: Support that bill Bush signed making it a more serious crime to kill a woman if she was with child.

Student Visas: Students from countries suspected of sponsoring terrorism should have a harder time getting visas.

Communications: Support programs to reduce the amount of violent or explicit content on television.

Space Exploration: Eliminate funding.

Just two of the reasons why I wouldn't vote for him if I could.

Let's not start grasping at straws here. Okay, so the platform of the Socialist Party has its flaws - but it still remains immensely better than anything the Democrats or the Republicans ever came up with.

What are Walt Brown's positions on drugs, crime, education, gun control, health care, and immigration?

While we're on the subject, I'd like to point out that another American socialist party, the Socialist Equality Party, is also putting forward a candidate for the presidency. They seem to me like a more... well, a more socialist party than the SPUSA (although one has to wonder: why are there TWO socialist parties when the one thing America needs is a strong, unified socialist party capable of standing up on its own in elections?). The SEP takes a more realistic approach with its presidential campaign, making it clear from the very start that their goal is to raise awareness, not to actually win anything.

Meanwhile, the Communist Party USA isn't putting forward any candidate for the presidency. They know very well that they wouldn't stand a chance in hell of winning, so they don't see the point of wasting money and resources on a useless campaign. They've decided to take the pragmatic approach and endorse John Kerry. Yes, he's a repulsive capitalist and a sad excuse for a "left-winger", but he's better (or at least less bad) than Bush. You may not like voting for the lesser evil, but it's the only rational thing to do.

By all rights, Ralph Nader should win - but he won't. He'll probably come in third, with a respectable percentage, but he can never possibly win. That's why, as much as I like Nader, I'd still vote for Kerry if I was an American.
