Gays ignoring risks of HIV, study finds

Highlighting the risk of unprotected sex, the survey also received saliva samples from 3,635 respondents, which they tested for HIV after asking the volunteers whether or not they had the virus. More than 25 per cent of those who tested positive were unaware they carried HIV. Fifteen per cent of those who tested positive had told surveyors they were HIV-negative.

Because the survey and testing were conducted anonymously, the university cannot contact those who tested positive but thought they were HIV-free.

Wow, all those people spreading HIV, even though they were tested. ???
