It's sometimes a number and sometimes letters

What the heck is it?  ;D

I've been told it can be a squad name but also points...

When will what appear and how to get those points?

And is a low or high number of points good?

That would be their battle clan name or their lank on the ladder.

To get points you need to play QuickMatch games.
