What the flippin heck are those pools of green stuff on Arrakis in E:BfD?

I beleive it's grass and plants and such, plantet by the fremen.

No, it's like a pool of steaming green liquid, not plants.

I havn't launches any nukes yet (I only got the game for X-Mas), but that's probably what it is.  That still leaves me to wonder why it's on the Arrakeen sands to begin with.  I think it looks pretty stupid, but oh well.

Depending on what House you are playing against the landscape is different. In this case its toxic waste from the Harkonnen.

Ah, I see.

For the record, I just got nuked by Copec, and the green stuff is just the same steam sprites, whereas on Arrakis, they're pools of green liquid, rather than just steam.  It probably is toxic sludge though.

On the other hand, the green colour of the Caladan grass looks asolutely revolting.

Indeed it does for a water planet, you would think it would be lush green not swamp green.

Maybe it's because they're so much water and humidity that it's a crappy green.  Maybe it is swamp.  ;)

The drainage system is via paddy fields. Caladan is grass, mountains and pundi rice fields, although there are some vineyards.
