No Mod works with German Emp 1.09,1.08...

welll i try to test out the imperial and the kwisatz mod no one works for me.

Only the orig. game without mods run on my PC:

1700@2600 amd

512 mb 333ddr

80gb gf4200

Windows XP Prof. all updates (checked them yesterday)

anitvir (no norton)

kerio per. firewall

This is maybe because you have a German version of the game. Because all the text-strings in the mods are in English, but it is weird why it should crash. If I remember well, it should work, only that you get English labels everywhere, instead of German. But the programming code of the game should be the same, only displayed text and sound differ.

I'll move this to Dune Editing, maybe someone else knows the answer there.

Well, perhaps the destinations in your Emperor folder are different... perhaps take a look through your Westwood/Emperor folders.

I copied the kwisatz mod to the directory and it has overwrite the original one no success it didn

You extracted it to:

C://Westwood/Emperor

That is the correct directory, in case you thought it was otherwise. I think that may have been your problem, if not I'll rack my brain again.

My Game HD is e: there i installed it.

i take copy the mod and paste it to e:WestwoodEmperor  (by the way i did it all the time  ::)  )

Windows ask to before its overwrite the old DATA folder and the both other ones...

hhhmm i think this is right....  any ideas??

(sorry for my english, thats why i got the game in german  ;)  )

Hmm well you could try the game using an unedited English lang file and see if it still crashes then.

Open up resources.cfg (emperor/ directory) in notepad and look at the override paths there. If those are different to the regular data paths then you know the problem.
