Does anyone know about this update for windows ? is it worth downloading it ?

personaly I am not really found of the WinXP burning tool. . .mayby I am a bit unpartial as WinXP doesn't recognise my SCSI burner by default. . and the fact that I am still using Nero for anything related to writable CD's.

Besides that .. I presume you will need a Highmat capable player to be able to use the functions ?

And unfortunately . . neither my B&O nor SONY ES have support for that .. ..

My Pioneer multi format DVD drive seems to support that, as when I scanned for updates for my system it came up as a download.

not shure if it has a lot of use in your computer. . although if you have a DVD connected to you TV or another Highmat device, never the less . . in your case it might be worth a try. :)

If you also use the WinXP cd creation feature thatis ;) .. . though Nero has the abilety to. .not shure though. .

Yeah I have Power Cinema, Power DVD, Pinnacle 8 and Nero 6.

So I'm spoilt for choice really.I just wondered if it was better than the other programs.?

I've had Nero and a few other programs...And know what I end up doing? Using Windows Media Player to burn my CD's.  ;D

I don't like WMP's burner because it places 2 second delays on all the tracks, which is a problem for those CDs where tracks play into each other.
