well guys sorry i havent been on but my damn computer is so damn slow it makes me sick, if anyone i mean anyone has a idea about why it is slow tell me, not just when i use the game but this computer is new it dont have that many things on it, normal programs that should run smoothly even the internet is slow, i have a cable modem, i dont know if the modem is hooked up right or something but the computer crashes, freezes up when i get into or out of the game or program, memory is there i have alot of memory available but i dont know wtf is going on with it just cant play or use the computer really if anyone has and idea why its like this plz help me out in finding a way to fix it, i called a comp tech to come over and look at it but he most likely wont do shit, so plz help anyone? :'( that means the king wont be able to play dune, i had to load starcraft and be a traitor to u guys since dune ran so slow but even that weak game runs slow as shit, so plz help i am begging u all in this community thanks all,

Run your anti virus program, sounds like you might have a virus.

You could also defrag your hardrive.

Also maybe run these programs:

The second url down the list is for a program called adaware it should remove any spyware you might have on your comp.

Also check your memory sticks are ok using AIDA program.

Could you attach your dxdiag report ?

thanks for replying i typed in your name for msn but it didnt work<? but the things u say i know about defrags and viruses but u will have to go step by step with me bro i dont know wtf u are talking about and its still slow as hell when i defraged it took three hours to

You can also delete all your temp files. [ start - settings - controle panel - internet options / in that screen delete all temp-, cashedfiles and cookies. ]

[ start settings - start menu second tap and settings / adjust whatever it's called then clear all temp files ]

Could you check your CPU load and memory usage. Just press ctrl-alt-delete and chose the task list option.

A friend of mine recently had problems playing Generals and Ghost Recon, we have been trying for week to fix it, even Aida didn't give any errors. After a week or so we finally whent back to the store [ his computer wsa brand new ] and changed the memory module, just for fun. . . after that his PC hasn't been giving anny errors and is running stable until this day. :)

So Aidi doesn't nessecaraly have to find memory errors. The only programm I know that finds them where others don't is Norton. I know . . .but still it appears to work for some things. :)

I know it doesn't tell you everything.

I have just spent the last four hours on MSN with MordusXXX going through all that.

Apart from 297 spyware files his virtual memory was set too low and he only has 128Mb ram on windows xp.
