Hey I'm crossing the bridge from fan fic for a few to ask some questions about greek Mythology...

Well I'm writing a fic....and i need discriptions of the various Greek Gods, Goddeses, Beasts, And creatures.

The Basic plot of the story is thus...*takes deep breath*

Well The father of Zues, Cronus, was defeated by zues after his wife tricked him into swallowing a rock insted of Zues, Zues banished Cronus and the other Titans to Tartarus, A deeper level of Hades filled with the worst kinds of punishment for the worst crimes. Well everything is going fine for the Greek gods up untill a point....

Cronus, his anger, hate, fear, and vengence take shape as a massive creature, This burst through into the relitive calm of Hades, Defeated the god and his Three headed dog and scorched the land into lakes of fire and torment so that even the souls who were only being punished in Hades would have to feel the torment that he went through in Tartarus.

The Gods battled Cronus's creature one by one they were defeated. Only Posiden in his wise move of covering the planet in water for 40 days and 40 nights to drown the creature, but with its death emerged Cronus, he defeated the remaning gods and banished them to exile in a far off land he sent 250 of his warriors to defend them and keep them from escaping.

During the next 2000 years Relative calm was felt across earth, Cronus abandoned his old name and adopted Johova for his new name.

Well in the year 1957 saltminers in Utah acidently entererd the chamber of the banished gods, the gaurdians killed them quickly, but the united states goverment came in, captured the gaurds and the Jar and have been studying them ever since.

In 1963 a scientist is tricked into opening the Jar and unleashing the Gods.

Instantly all the locks on the Gaurdians cells now nammed Zombies or Living dead by some, unlock In the Chaos and destruction that fallowed everyone was killed in the base.

Chronus seeing this closed the base and traped them below, but he knew that it would be opened one day....and it was...in 2003...

Sound good?

Thats why I need information on Gods and other Greek Mythology...no roman please....

I figure i post this in PRP since it has to do with Religion...

Sounds about right. Just remember the spelling. 'Zeus.' And that the Titans aren't gods. And that there were others before them.

Would there be other mythologies as well? Norse etc.

Cronus has grown weak over the thousands of years, most of the work is done by his lesser gods or angels, Cronus sends one of them to close the mine becouse he has other matters to atend to.

at the end of the Story Gaea comes into play, but for awhile its some good ol god on god battles with humans in the middle

Aside from the top dozen, note that there were also lots of minor gods, especially chthonic ones (ones who had formerly been mortal, but were elevated in status after being buried), like Eos, and Castor and Polydeuces.

"Instantly all the locks on the Gaurdians cells now nammed Zombies or Living dead by some"

Is this going to turn into one of these military 'mindless-kill-the-zombies' stories? I don't believe the greeks had zombies at all. There was the occasional ghost, e.g. Odyssey 11(?) and Polydorus, but nothing else, really.

Oh, and please don't mention any angles, unless you're considering Pythagoras' legacy, rather than Cronos'. And the Greeks didn't have angels, they had Hermes for their angellos (the Greek word for messenger, from which we derive 'angel').

Oh, and you might want to look up some epithets, like Rosy-fingered for dawn, and aegis-bearing for Zeus and Athene... Athene was known as Pallas or Polias Athene... Poseidon is commonly known as 'earth-shaker', and Zeus as 'cloud-gatherer'. But that's just a taster.

1. Some of it is,its a survival horror story, some chapters will be violent others wont. The zombies are of Cronus's creation.

2. They are not Angels in the Christian sense, but minor gods that Cronus created that in the Christian bible are angels, Its sort of a Ancient Greek VS Christianity thing, maybe a few holy wars will be inlcuded.

And I shall

And no dust scout.
