yep I had to clean and trim off the little metal hangy thingys left from molding (its pewter) then I had to paint it black, then I had to undercoat the fist and tabard white, then I had to paint the eyes red and the wreath green and ink the wreath. I then had to paint the sword, pistol holster, and back pack gunmetal, then I drybrushed gold on the pack and painted the sword a silverish color then I painted the sword blue and inked it red blue green and yellow, then I painted the swords handel brown, then a lighter brown, hten drybrushed it golde, then paint the pommel jewel and the sword jewels blue and ink em blue, then ink the tabard blue, and then paint the fist gold. then I touched it up where need and painted the base light green. oh and drybrushed the right shoulder pad and paint the little jewel red.oh and paint the seal red and the a parchment colorand paint the maltese cross on his neck gunmetl and touch it up.

yep took bout 6 hours maybe less 41/2 more realistic I dunno time flies when having fun :)

I play Space marines, created my own chapter, my paint scheme is gold gloves and gold lined shoulder pads, HQ characters have less gole IE my EC onlt has 1 gold fist, my Commander had onlt gold lines pads

I forgot to mention my army also had a walker (dreadnaught) and a landspeeder ( a hover craft)

I take it you are new to warhammer 40k?

you don't really buy boosters, you just buy various models, some are as low as 3 for $6 and some models are as much as $45 (bog ol tanks, LOTR felbeast) anyways I basically bought the rulebook, my armies codex (space marines) a space marine battleforce boxed set and thats how I started then I spent a few hundred and hundred and got a alot more guys

I made my own chapter (space marines have various chapter, basically differant paint schemes, some of the already made official chapters have special rules ie. the dark angels can field an army where terminators count as troops. It gets complicated, I'd first go to your local GW (gamesworkshop) and ask the people that work there, or go online to www.gamesworkshop.com and look at differant armies.

oh and the a battle force is around $80 or so, contains alot of guys though, I'd suggest playing LOTR if you are low on cash, it's generally cheaper (24 models for $20)

Hmmm I see you play the mech warrior table top game? well the Gamesworkshop productsare simiar but alot older, IE GW is over 25 years old. anyways 40k is like MW but you build your own guys, paint em, and equip em how you like.

anyways you paint you're own models so making own little chapter err army custom in easy, to ease the confusion
