Help with BUG!

I'm running d2k on my laptop, 800mhz, windows XP (and I have the 1.06 patch installed) etc... When I load d2k, It splits the screen oddly and wraps the screen backwards... However, it doesnt do this during cinema scenes, only during menus and the game itself. I was looking forward to playing this online too! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

all i could sugest is to get the latest drivers for your video card , and meybe try experimenting with the video modes settings

Could you try to make a screenshot of it when that happends ?

Which OS version is your laptop running with, and have you tried to play other game on it ?

I'm running XP pro on this thing, and yes, I've run numerous other games on it... How would I go about getting a screenshot during the game though?

Just use print screen, close the game and past it in Paint for example. . .

Looks to me like a video problem. But I know little.

It indeed looks like a video driver issue..

Could you attach your dxdiag ?

You could try the compatability modes, on the main emperor.exe file. :-

go to your start menu, the run part. Type in dxdiag and save the result of that program to a text file and attach it to your next post if possible :)

This is odd...

Current Mode: 800 x 600 (32 bit) (60Hz)

Monitor: Generic Television

Monitor Max Res: 640,480

That should mean you monitor isn't capable of running anything above 640x480... Are you sure you have your system set to LCD 800x600, or 1024x768 ?

Yes, its at 800x600... I tried to change it even, and it won't change with the sliding bar in the display properties.

Instead of 32 bit, change it to 16 bit or 256 colors.

You need to select the right LCD screen. You probably now have set it to default (which is 640x480 I believe). Try selecting the 800x600 one, or when possible, 1024x768....
