Hey guys I just bought a TI-83 silver edition calculator and have like no clue how to use it. I am hoping somebody has an idea how to run it. But my big question is where can I go to download MirageOS or whatever so I can download games onto my calculator. I wasent pleased to find that the USB connector it came with dident fit in my spare USB port so I am stuck switching off cords and shit. And thers all this BS in APPS (applications) how do i delete things on the list?

Any help would be appreciated. I figured this is more general than tech support because of the fact this is a calculator and not a computer.

Smackering smackeronies!

Does so many actually have the TI-83 Plus (Silver)?

I was looking for it in the stores today(the silver, of course, because it has about ten times more storage capacity, and twice as fast processor, which fit perfectly for games ^-^. Besides, my dad pays my calculator...)

My brother only has a TI-83 ordinary one, but he says it's easy to learn.

A manual should follow with it.

Erm i still dont get it.......

so i dowload it to desktop lets say, unzip the file and then what. Go in the calculator itself or em.....im confused..

I will most likely have to wait til i can have a friend transfer it to me.

You need a special TI-GraphLink cable, which can be bought at your local Best Buy or some computer store, or you can buy it at my last link.

Download all latest softwares, at the last link I gave you. Unzip the MirageOS zip file and extract the file mirageos.8xk anywhere, such as the Desktop (C:WINDOWSDesktop).

Once that is done, open the TI-Graph Link software. Click on the Link menu at the top, two over from File menu. Move mouse over 'Send flash software' and click 'Applications and certificates'. Find the mirageos.8xk file that you just extracted, and add it to the list at the bottom. Click ok. It should now start installing. If it says it cannot connect to the calculator, make sure no other programs are running in the COM port selected (in the List menu). If something happens, and it halts, when it asks for you to garbage collect press yes. Good luck! This should work.

Awesome! The rest of the games should be easy to do. Have fun :) Remember - don't waste your batteries on games right before a test! It's not very fun!

Clear all data by pressing 2nd, and then Plus button, and choosing the appropriate option. I forget which it is, but it's self-explanatoryl
