[Atomic Mitten]

Has anyone else had problems with crashes using this mod ?

I have played up to the last mission aginst the Ordos and the Harkonnen, but when the game is loading the final mission in both houses, the game crashes to the desktop !

Has anyone had the same problems and maybe found a cure ?

It adds so much stuff that Emperor has a hard time coping with it. Unfortunately the crashes cannot be repaired.

And I made it too ya know :P

by the way did you play your own mod up till the last game ? If so did you manage to finish the last mission ?

No, because of a few things. We had to remove just a couple units to make it work. You can try the other final missions.

The mod wasn't meant to be played in campaign mode. But you can always try.

It surprised me however that you could play the mod to the last mission, because I'm sure I removed some units which appear earlier in the campaign.

Removing certain campaign units was inevitable, otherwise I couldn't add new units. I'm sorry about that

Because of the way the campaign mode works, it is possible to get to the final missions without playing a number of "programmer pre-set" games where the various special units come in, so perhaps you were lucky and missed those games where Timen/Innoculator9 "de-activated special units" would have appeared.

Most of the "Big" mods such as Shai-Hulud, KH2, Corrino's Revenge etc were written with multi-user/skirmish play in mind and thus the modders de-activated or deleted many units/buildings that must be present for campaign play to work, so that the modders could add new units and buildings to fit their story-lines.

If you want to play in campaign mode but with a difference, then I suggest you look at the mods that Innoculator9 has written which he has made to work in campaign mode while still adding around 9-12 new units.
